Rental Policies

AREAS WE COVER

Our central location is located in the heart of Kampala. Our location allows us to service a large area that extends to Entebbe and Mukoko with ease. Within this area all of our products are available for delivery with very little delivery charge, although we also service other regions throughout the country with a full calculation of mileage and fuel expenses.

DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION

At the time a reservation is set, a deposit (usually 50% – although it may be higher depending on the total dollar amount of your order) will be taken by credit card, mobile money or cash. This deposit is deducted from your balance – which is due at the time of delivery, and prior to the equipment being set up. If you have to cancel an event the deposit will not be returned – but instead will be regarded as an in house credit with Adventure Republic that will remain valid for one year from the date of the cancelled reservation.

A cancellation made with less than 2 days’ notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit. if cancellation is done on the day of your event a fee of 20% of the balance due will be charged on the credit card provided by the customer at the time of rental purchase.

FORMS OF PAYMENT

Deposits can be made in the form of cash, mobile money or credit card at the time a reservation is set. The entire balance is always due at delivery when our vehicle arrives. We cannot unload our truck until the bill is settled so we always ask our customers to please have your payment ready, in cash or mobile money, for our staff memberwhen he arrives and please remember that our drivers do not carry change so please have the exact amount due.

Credit cards are not accepted as a form of payment at delivery – only cash or mobile money are. If you are a corporate entity or school that can only pay by credit card we ask you to make the appropriate arrangement with our office at least 3 days prior to the event.

We do not accept personal checks under any circumstance.

SAFETY

All of our products come with safety rules printed and placed near the product. You are obligated to read and follow all rules and regulations. Failure to follow these rules can result in injury and/or damage to the equipment which you will be liable for.

All products must be secured to the ground are properly placed in a body of water prior to use. If the set up is on grass we expect the customer responsible to prepare the ground by removing any debris and creating a smooth surface. The customer must be aware of, and inform our worker of, any irrigation pipes and/or disturbance that are in the area.

When we set up on water we will either need to tie the unit to something immovable and/or under certain circumstances use sandbags to weigh the inflatable down. If an inflatable is set up indoors no tie downs, stakes or weights are required.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN WE SET UP

The Waterslides: The waterslides are very heavy and require special dollies or man power to move them. In order to set up your inflatable we need to be informed if the driver will be navigating through any gate or walkway less than 1.5 meters wide.

It is your responsibility to provide a smooth, level surface (see Surface Options below) for us to set up your inflatablewaterslide. The waterslides require a minimum space to safely set it up. If the location of the waterslide rental is within Kampala or 15 kilometers, a crew member will need to do a site visit check. For distances in other regions, the customer will need to absolutely be certain they have the required space. If we arrive and find the space is not large enough to set up your waterslide we will work with you to find a more suitable set up spot AT THE SAME LOCATION. If you need to move your party somewhere else due to not having a large enough space you will be charged an additional fee to cover the additional workload and we will do our best to set up at your new location as quickly as possible but we cannot let a situation such as this affect the delivery time of the customers our truck has scheduled after your delivery.

The waterslide works best with a ramp or in an inclined area, usually on the edge of pool or lake. There are several ways to build the correct ramp, if ours is not suitable.

SURFACE OPTIONS

The best options for setting up an inflatable are inside of a body of water, at the edge of a body of water or on grass. Some products like the water zorb balls are ONLY intended to be inside of a body of water. We can however set up on other surfaces if grass or water are not possible. The acceptable alternative surfaces are dirt and sand. If this is the case, please tell us when you place your reservation so that we can have the crew bring the proper tarps which will be placed under the inflatable to protect it.

Under no circumstances can an inflatable ever be set up on rocks, cement, or mulch. These types of surfaces are extremely damaging to inflatables.

When selecting an area for your inflatable please inspect the ground and remove any rocks, twigs and dog poop. Our staff are trained to scout the grounds prior to set up and will ask you to remove any such items if spotted.

ELECTRICITY REQUIREMENTS

Every unit on our website tells you exactly how many Blower Motors are going to be used to operate it. It is completely the customer’s responsibility to provide ample electric service. For each Blower Motor at your event you will need a dedicated circuit to run it. This requirement often necessitates running cords to different parts of your home/facility in order to locate outlets which are not sharing a common breaker. Our crew will help in this process but it is ultimately up to you, the customer, to ensure ample service is available.

Customers should consider blackouts of electricity which will require the use of a generator. The only inflatable items requiring constant electricity use, are the water zorb balls. All other inflatable items can remain inflated for several hours without the need of inflating them. We rent generators for a reasonable fee but encourage customers to provide their own.

PROXIMITY is an important factor regarding electric requirements and selecting the set up location for your inflatableitems. Each Blower Motor must be within 50 feet of the source of electricity – whether it be an outlet or a generator.

WATER REQUIREMENTS

Our waterslides have hoses and attachment modules. Part of our delivery and set up service is the connecting of water hoses to these units. We provide 2 long water hoses that are attached to the waterslides. What this means is that wherever you tell us to set up your waterslide, you must have a water source that can reach our hoses, if not the customer must provide additional hoses/connectors that will reach that spot.

RECREATION CENTERS

Having your party at a recreation center is a great alternative if you don’t have a lot of space or don’t have a private pool. When having a party at a recreation center it must be at a rented space with an explicit policy allowing inflatables to be used. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILTY to secure the rental space at the recreation center prior to making a reservation.

All recreation centers have unique rules and restrictions. It is entirely the responsibility of the customer to speak with representatives from the recreation center to ensure they allow the equipment you are renting from us.

We assume zero responsibility for equipment or services rendered that is subsequently cancelled at the event due to a recreation center representative determining that such equipment or services violate a center’s rule. If this happens you will not be entitled to a refund.

Some recreation centers provide electricity. We recommend the use of a generator due to the lack of electricity power or potential blackouts. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU RENT A GOOD GENERATOR to run all of the equipment at your party. We will never insist a generator is rented from us. If you have one or if you prefer to rent one elsewhere that is sufficient to run our equipment we will gladly plug into it HOWEVER, it is completely your responsibility to ensure the generator runs properly, has gasoline, and is rated high enough to work.

We cannot assume any responsibility for your generator and you will also be responsible for ensuring the park allows an individual (as opposed to us, the vendor) to provide the generator.

If your own generator does not work properly we will not send our truck back to the warehouse to pick one up and add it to your order. The only exception would be if our warehouse is nearby and we do not have any other delivery delays. If this unfortunate scenario were to occur we would do our best to work with you but ultimately it would be up to you to source another generator and this would not be cause for a refund.

ATTENDANT / STAFF

All of our products are hired with an attendant/staff member to setup and manage the use of the rental items. We are required to provide a staff member in order to allow the inflatable rental to take place, set-up, supervise the safety of the products, and safely remove the products.

Our attendant/staff service is an hourly or daily rate which covers the cost of our employee. Customers are not allowed to assist with the setup, managing, or removal of products unless otherwise approved by attendant/staff member.

COMMON SENSE

We want your party to be a big hit and we have just a few common sense pointers to ensure a great time is had by all. Read and follow all of the items above and call us if there’s anything you’re not sure about. And always remember:

  1. NO SHOES IN OR ON OUR PRODUCTS!
  2. NO FOOD OR DRINK ON OUR PRODUCTS!
  3. NO SHARP OBJECTS, NO CLOTHING WITH OUTER SHARP ZIPPERS!
  4. NO CUTTING UTELSILS, NO SHARP ITEMS, NO SMOKING OR NO OPEN FIRE ALLOWED!

Any blatant disregard for the above policies, the Common Sense section or the Safety Rules attached to the inflatables may lead to injury, equipment damage, or both!

JUMP SAFE – AND HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!
